Students Streamline WPI Grants Process with Low Code

At Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Michelle Mulkern, Contract and Grants Administrator in the Office of Sponsored Programs decided to strategically build a new grant process management system that works in Agile ways with the power of Mendix low-code. By using Mendix, Mulkern efficiently worked with her team of 15 dedicated WPI research administrators and students to iterate quickly in order for them to manage on annual grant funding without delays and setbacks. Together they developed this grant process management system to allow them to smoothly track on the status of grant proposals, streamline submissions of new Notices of Intent whilst making easy collaboration between grant applicants and research administrators possible.
