Zurich’s DevOps Team Helps Close Business with a 90-minute App Prototype
Barrington Clarke, from Zurich Insurance impressively created on a Motor First Notice of Loss (FNOL) application with the power of Mendix low-code. Zurich’s Mendix-made FNOL application enabled drivers for corporate fleets to quickly report about geolocations of motor vehicle accidents in direct manners to Zurich Insurance and their employers. With inclusions of Mendix’s native device functionality, the FNOL app allowed users to collect photos of accident scenes with their device’s camera for claim submissions. They could also submit requests for road assistance or opt to call Zurich Insurance directly from the FNOL app. By developing their idea from a prototype in just 90 minutes, Zurich managed to build their fully-functional FNOL application to assist 2,000 drivers and successfully went live with it in a matter of four weeks
