How Continental Swapped Lotus Notes and Domino for Low-Code

Continental made a strategic decision to become more than an automotive manufacturer by evolving with Mendix’s low-code solutions. At Mendix World in 2019, Sven Fleischer, Continental’s Global Team Lead in Finance IT detailed that Continental migrated away from traditional development methods and legacy apps towards adoptions of Mendix’s agile low-code methodology for their enterprise’s process modernization. “We chose Mendix because it enabled collaboration between business and IT, allowed us to build and iterate solutions quickly and made it possible to replace outdated processes with adaptable, automated workflows,” says Fleischer. By rebuilding their 400-story Electronic Capital Request application with Mendix in a timeframe of just 12 weeks compared to when it initially took them more than a year, Continental dramatically improved on user experiences for their end-users.
